Histogram Builder
The Histogram Builder calculator allows users to input a set of numbers and generate a histogram, either by using the Sturgess, Scott or Freedman-Diaconis formula, or manually setting the number of groups.
The calculator also calculates the average, standard deviation, and first and third quartile values of the input data set, providing valuable statistical analysis. The Sturgess formula calculates the number of groups by taking the ceiling of the logarithm to base 2 of the number of data points plus one, while the Scott and Freedman-Diaconis formulas use different methods to determine the bin width (see Histogram group number). Users can choose which method they prefer or enter the number of groups manually.
