How to calculate discount

Thus said, a discount is a reduction in the usual price for something Discount=Usual Price - Sale Price

Often discount is given as a percentage of the usual price. There are three parameters to find: a regular price, a sale price, and a discount.

To find the discount in percents from the given regular price and sale price use this formula:
Discount = 100 * \frac{Usual Price - Sale Price}{Usual Price}=100(1 - \frac{Sale Price}{Usual Price})

To find the regular price from the given sale price and the discount percent, use this formula:
Usual Price = \frac{Sale Price}{1 - \frac{Discount}{100}}

To find the sale price from the given regular price and the discount percent, use this formula:
Sale Price = Usual Price * (1 - \frac{Discount}{100})
